Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Storm women's soccer team took on the Cedarville Yellow Jackets for a conference match at home. The Storm fell 1-0, moving to a 1-6-1 record, and the Yellow Jackets to a 6-2-1 record.
The first half started off with two saves from senior goalie Megan Biddell. Soon after, freshman Leonie Witt took a shot at 19:38, with a save from the Yellow Jacket's goalie. Witt took another shot at 31:07, saved again. Biddell finished up the half with two more saves, but the period remained scoreless.
The second period started with another save from Biddell. Freshman Kim Lorenz shot at 61:25, but just missed. Biddell continued to guard the goal, until the Yellow Jackets were able to get a goal in at 74:43 to make it 1-0, Cedarville. Sophomore Jillian Newlan tried to tie it up with a shot at 83:16, but was saved. The clock ran down without another goal, giving the Yellow Jackets the 1-0 win.
Biddell finished the match with eight saves.
The Storm are on the road for their next game against the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans on Thursday, September 29th at 5:30 PM.
