Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake Erie women's soccer team competed against the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans for their third conference game, falling 2-1. This brings the Storm to a 1-4-1 record and the Trojans to a 4-2-1 record.
The first half started off with a few shots from the Trojans, but senior goalie Megan Biddell kept them out of the net. The Trojans kept kicking, and finally got one in at 8:14. The Storm fought back with a shot from senior Emilie Coyne at 15:40, but was saved by the Trojans goalie. Shortly after, sophomore Jillian Newlan scored the Storm's first goal, unassisted at 22:28. The period finished out with a tied score, 1-1.
The second half started with strong offense and defense from both ends. Biddell kept the net save and recorded three more saves. The Trojans snuck another goal in toward the end at 82:14 to take the lead 2-1. The Storm was unable to best the Trojans' goalie, and the period ended with the final score of 2-1, Trojans.
The Storm are on the road for their next conference game against the Ohio Dominican Panthers on Thursday, September 22 at 7:30 PM.
