COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Lake Erie College Storm men's soccer team took the field Saturday afternoon, August 27 in Columbus, Ohio. They would fall in the match, 2-0 to the McKendree Bearcats and drop their season record to 0-1-1.

The Storm, coming off a 2-2 tie to #4 UIndy, would face the McKendree Bearcats who recently knocked off G-MAC opponent, Ohio Dominican, 2-0 as well.

The afternoon match would be quiet but hard-fought until the 26:09 mark in the first half when McKendree would get a goal past sophomore Tomas Wroblewski, who missed the season opener on August 25.

The Bearcats would take that 1-0 lead into the half and extend it to 2-0 at the 73:22 mark and hold it until the end.

The Storm will return to action on Sunday, September 4 as they travel to face Seton Hill before their home opener on Thursday, September 8 against Ohio Dominican in a rematch of the 2021 Great Midwest Athletic Conference championship game.
