Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team took down the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans, Feb. 26 in Nashville, Tennessee, 63-60.
The contest was close throughout its entirety, with neither team able to take a comfortable enough lead.
Both teams looked rough throughout the first half, with neither one able to get a consistent shooting rhythm going. The Storm would shoot 10-31 (32.3%) from the field and just 4-15 (26.7%) from beyond the arc.
In the second half, both teams would find more of a rhythm. Lake Erie would shoot 41.7% (5-12) from beyond the arc and make clutch shots to pull enough away from the Trojans that they weren't able to come back, finishing the game with a 63-60 victory.
The Storm had three players who would record a double-double in the match: Kevin Peterson (14 points, 12 rebounds), Leon Hughes (13 points, 10 rebounds), and Jackson Burdyshaw (12 points, 10 rebounds). Connor Wright would also record a career-high 10 rebounds during the final game of his career.
Lake Erie finishes the season with a 13-13 record and a 7-12 conference record.
