Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team fell to the Kentucky Wesleyan Panther, Feb. 24 in Owensboro, Kentucky, 86-73. The loss gives the Storm their fourth straight loss and drops their record to 12-13 on the season.
Lake Erie was defined by their poor play down the stretch this match, shooting lights out in the first half, 17-34 (50%) from the field and 6-14 (42.9%) from beyond the arc, but shooting a mere 12-31 (38.7%) from the field and 2-8 (25%) from beyond the arc, in the second half.
Although they were able to stay evenly matched up with the Panthers on the glass, the Storm were not able to hold onto the ball, turning it over 12 times throughout the night.
Kevin Peterson would lead the Storm with 17 points, while Jordan Burton would contribute 16 of his own while collecting 5 rebounds and 5 assists as well.
The Storm will play their final game of the season Saturday, Feb. 26 at 5:00 PM on the road against Trevecca Nazarene.
