Box Score HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team fell to the Hillsdale Chargers Feb. 19, 79-67 in Hillsdale, Michigan. The loss marks the Storm's third straight, dropping their record to 12-12 and 6-11 in conference play.
The Storm fell down early, finishing the first half with a 38-24 deficit while shooting a rough 34.5% (10-29) from the field and 28.6% (4-14 from beyond the arc. Lake Erie struggled to take control of the paint in the half, getting outrebounded 23-14.
In the second half of play, the Storm would pick it up a little bit, going on short tears but unable to come back from the first-half deficit.
On the day, Caleb Piks would lead the way with 16 points, with Leon Hughes not far behind with 15 points and Jordan Burton with 11.
Lake Erie will be back in action on Feb. 24 at 5:30 PM on the road against Kentucky Wesleyan.
