Box Score CANTON, Ohio – The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball traveled to Canton, Ohio to take on the Walsh Cavaliers on Wednesday, December 14. The Storm would not be able to find a rhythm in the contest and fall 70-51.
The Storm were simply outplayed in the contest and the Cavaliers took advantage of the Storm's offensive woes.
Lake Erie would shoot 37% from the field and 25% from beyond the arc. They would be outrebounded 38-24 and struggled to stop the Cavalier's offense which shot 50% from the field and 29.4% from deep.
Leon Hughes would lead the way for the Storm off the bench as he contributed 15 points. Jonny Manning would be the only other double-digit scorer for Lake Erie on the night as he added 11 points of his own.
The loss takes the Storm's record to .500 once again as they now sit at 5-5 record on the year with a 2-2 record in conference play. They will suit up again for the last time before the holidays with a home matchup against Ohio Dominican on Saturday, December 17 at 3:00 PM.
