Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Storm women's basketball team hosted the Ursuline Arrows for their first conference game of the 2022 season. This was an intense game down to the final buzzer. Ursuline was able to top the Storm, but not after a valiant effort put in by the Storm. Coach Todd Perdas made incredible second half adjustments to bring the Storm within three points of the Arrows late in the game.
Senior guard/forward Abby Matalavage and senior guard Sydney Wyngarden led the way for the Storm in tonight's action. Wyngarden posted team highs in almost every category in tonight's loss. She led the way with 19 points, five assists, and two steals in team high 38 minutes of action for the Storm. Wyngarden also added four rebounds. Matalavage contributed 16 points off of a 7-11 shooting stint. Matalavage also added three rebounds and two assists on the night. The Storm went 25-56 overall from the floor with a 44.6 shooting percentage.
The score does not show the effort and grit that the Storm played with tonight. The Storm look to get back on track on Saturday, December 3rd at home against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets for their next conference game at 1:00 PM.
