Box Score SALEM, WV – The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team won their first game of the season on the road against the Salem University Tigers, 75-74 on November 19 in dramatic fashion.
Lake Erie would start off the game cold, falling quickly 10-2 in the first few minutes. The Tigers would be in control for most of the game, leading for its entirety until Jonny Manning give the Storm a 63-62 lead with 4:49 remaining in the contest. Salem and Lake Erie would continue to go back and forth throughout the final minutes and the Tigers would take a 74-72 lead with 10 seconds left. Lake Erie would then come out of a timeout with the ball and in the final seconds, Jordan Burton would nail a three-point shot to give the Stor a 75-74 victory. They would continue to battle but would not lead
The win improves the Storm's record to 1-2 in the early season and they will continue action on the road as they take on Gannon on November 25 at 5:30 PM.
