ST. LOUIS – The Lake Erie College Storm men's soccer team faced off against the #3 seeded Maryville Saints in the Elite Eight round of the 2022 NCAA DII Men's Soccer tournament on November 19. An early goal would be enough to secure a 1-0 win for the Storm and advance them to the next round!

After playing back-to-back games that ended in penalty kicks, the Storm would face off against another tough opponent in #3-seeded Maryville.

The match would be as tough as advertised with both teams playing extremely tough defense. However, in the 34th minute, Teddy Baker would take a pass from Tom Akinola and put the Storm up 1-0.

This would give prove to be all Lake Erie would need and they shut out the Saints for the remainder of the match, and they would go home with the win.

The Storm now advance to the Final Foul in Seattle, Washington where they will face the winner of Franklin Pierce and Charleston (WV) on Thursday, December 1.
