Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Storm women's soccer team hosted the Ashland Eagles for another conference match, ending in a 4-0 loss. The Storm fall to a 1-10-1 record, and the Eagles move to a 10-3 record.
The first half started off with a save from senior goalie Megan Biddell in the net. However, the Eagles kept shooting and were able to score at 17:45 and 24:20 to take a 2-0 lead. Freshman Leonie Witt took a shot at 26:07, but could not pass the goalie. Biddell made another save before the Eagles scored again, taking a 3-0 lead at the end of the period.
The Eagles were able to score again in the second half, with the match finishing 4-0 Eagles. Senior Giana Soboyna and junior Megan Schanz made their first appearances for the season.
Today also marked the first appearance for freshman Vic Williams, coming in the goal at 71:37 to take over for Biddell. Biddell finished with eight saves guarding the net for the Storm.
The Storm travel to Ursuline College to take on the Arrows on Thursday, October 13th at 3:30 PM.
