Box Score TIFFIN, Ohio — The Storm women's soccer team traveled to Tiffin University to take on the Dragons for another conference match, taking an early lead but falling 5-1. The Storm move to a 1-9-1 record, and the Dragons to a 5-5-2 record.
The first half started off with Storm shots from sophomore Jillian Newlan sophomore Rahel Lang, and junior Emily Tarase. The Storm had strong offense throughout the half, continued with another shot from Rahel and a shot from sophomore Brenna Walker. Senior goalie Megan Biddell made her first save of the match at 27:26. Freshman Leonie Witt recorded a shot, right before freshman Kim Lorenz scored a Storm goal at 40:18. The Dragons responded with some shots, but Biddell was strong in the net making two more saves at the end. The Storm had a 1-0 lead going into the second period.
The Dragons took charge in the second period, starting off with a goal at 48:21. The Storm continued to fight at a 1-1 tied score, but the Dragons scored again at 70:37. The Storm tried to combat with a shot from Newlan, but the Dragons saved it. The Dragons continued their run with three more goals to end the period, 5-1 Tiffin.
Biddell finished the match with five saves in the goal for the Storm.
The Storm return to their home field for their next match against the Ashland Eagles at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 9th.
