Box Score The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team fell to Kentucky Wesleyan, 73-61 on Jan. 15 in Painesville, Ohio. The loss drops the Storm's record on the season to 8-5 and 2-4 in conference play.
The Storm failed to get a consistent groove going in the game, shooting 23.1 percent from the field and 12.5 percent from beyond the arc in the first half, giving them a 30-18 deficit.
Lake Erie was able to even the field in the second half, putting up 43 points while also giving up 43. Led by Jonny Manning (15) and Kevin Peterson (14), the Storm shot 52.9% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc in the second half.
Defensively, the Storm were able to put up a fight. Despite being outrebounded, they managed to pick up three steals and seven blocks.
The Storm will be back in action on Jan. 19 at 8:00 PM on the road against Malone to begin a three-game homestand before returning home on Jan. 26 against Ashland.
