Box Score The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team took down Trevecca Nazarene, 72-56 on Jan. 13 in Painesville, Ohio. The victory improves the Storm's record on the season to 8-4 and 2-3 in conference play.
The contest was tight in the first half, with the Storm outscoring the Trojans 34-28. Both teams stayed virtually even in rebounding, steals, and turnovers as well, making it anybody's game.
In the second half, the Storm pulled away by shooting efficiently (42.4% from the field and 44.4% from beyond the arc) and limiting turnovers.
It was a hard-fought game by both teams who played with intensity the entire time but it was Lake Erie who walked away victorious with a final score of 72-56.
Jonny Manning (18) and Jordan Burton (17) led the way for the Storm while Connor Wright (11 points, 7 rebounds) was a huge part of the victory as well.
The Storm will be back in action on Jan. 15 at 1:00 PM against Kentucky Wesleyan for their last home before hitting the road for three straight games.
