(Syracuse, N.Y.) – The Lake Erie women's soccer team scored once in the second half to defeat the Le Moyne College Dolphins, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Field.

17-minutes into the second-half, freshman, Jillian Newlan scored her first goal of her collegiate career to put the Storm ahead 1-0.

Goalkeeper Megan Biddell was able to make some amazing saves in goal as the Dolphins threatened. Biddell finished with five saves. Le Moyne outshot Lake Erie 18-7, but the Storm made a shot that counted in the end.

Next up for Lake Erie is a 5 p.m. meeting with Ohio Christian on Tuesday.
