Box Score (Canton, Ohio) – The Lake Erie College Storm traveled to Canton, Ohio last night to take on the Malone Pioneers in another conference matchup. For the fourth time in five games, the Storm take the match into overtime, finishing the contest with a 1-1 tie. This draw brings the Storm to 2-4-2 overall and the Pioneers to 0-4-2.
In less than three-minutes, the Pioneers had scored the first goal of the game, putting them up 1-0. The Storm did not back down, keeping the pressure on with 14 shots on goal.
44 minutes into the game, the Storm battled back with a goal by junior, Megan Cornell, making the score even at one all.
The match remained tied through the end of regulation, taking the game to not one, but two overtimes. In the end, 110 minutes later, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
