Box Score (Cedarville, Ohio) – Lake Erie women's soccer team took on Cedarville University on Thursday afternoon in Cedarville, Ohio. The Storm gave a valiant effort in the road matchup against the Yellow Jackets but were unable to score as they were defeated with a final score of 1-0.
A defensive battle ensued as no points were scored in regulation time, taking the game to overtime. It wasn't until the 99th minute that the Yellow Jackets scored the solo point of the game. Addie Erslan, a freshman for Cedarville found the back of the net to end the game.
Goalie for the Storm, Megan Biddell defended 10 shots on goal, making nine saves.
The loss drops the Storm record to 1-4-1 overall, and 0-2-1 in conference play. Next up for the Storm, they will be taking on Ohio Dominican on Sunday, September 26th at 3 PM.
