The Lake Erie men's golf teamed finished third at the Malone Spring Classic on the Tannenhouf Golf Club on Friday and Saturday. The Storm shot a three-round total of 620, shooting a 307 in round one, a 313 in round two. The host Malone Pioneers won the tournament with a two-round score of 595.
Daniel Milo tied for ninth to lead the Storm. Milo shot a 153, with a 77 in round one, and a76 in round two. Jacob Fitzpatrick finished right behind his teammate and ended the tournament tied for 10th, shooting a 154 (76, 78). Jarrod Teeter lead Lake Erie with four birdies and finished tied for the 13th. Teeter was one of the best golfers in round one with a score of 75 and tied for second place. In round two he would shoot an 80 and finished with a combined score of 155.
Antonio Bodziony tied for 17th with a two-round total of 158. Bodiziony finished with a 79 and 79. Fitzpatrick and Bodizony each had 22 shots go for par.
Kent Gross ended the tournament tied for 31st with a total score of 175 (88, 87). Logan Frank followed behind Gross with a score of 176, shooting a 91 in round one, followed by a second-round score of 85.
Individually, Connor Curry won the tournament with a total score of 145. Curry finished round two with the lowest score of the tournament of 68. Curry dropped his round one total by seven strokes.
The Storm will be back in action on Monday as they compete in the Cavalier Classic hosted by Walsh at the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio.
