Box Score (Painesville, Ohio) - The Lake Erie Storm volleyball team earned their second win of the season tonight with a win over the Malone Pioneers. This was the Storm's final game of the season as they put the Pioneer's away in five-sets. The Storm ends their season with a record of 2-9.
The Storm won the first and third set 17-25, and 23-25 while the Pioneers took the second and fourth set 25-20 and 25-19. The Storm wrapped up the game taking the fifth set 15-5.
Overall, Lake Erie recorded 59 kills on the night with a hitting percentage of .259. The Pioneers had 58 total kills with a .172 hitting percentage.
Kariema Rodriguez and Jordan Taylor both lead the Storm offensive production tonight with 18 kills each. Freshman Julianna Krebasch added 13 kills. Maria Blatnik added eight kills respectfully.
On the defensive side, Dora Olah led with 19 digs, followed by Caitlin Farkas with 16, and Kariema Rodriguez with 13 respectfully. Olah also added 49 assists for the Storm.
The Storm is not losing any seniors this season and is looking to work hard this off-season to come back stronger next year.
