(Painesville, Ohio) – The Lake Erie College outdoor track & field team will open the 2021 season when they travel to the University of Lynchburg for the Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invite tomorrow, March 27th.
After an impressive end to the indoor season, with three Storm athletes finishing top five at the GMAC Indoor Championship, the Storm is ready to start their outdoor season.
Junior Dominic Jones finished third place in the championships with a time of 8.26 in the 60-meter hurdles. Freshman Mikia Hutchings clocked a time of 7.77 in the women's 60-meter dash. Both Jones and Hutchings were selected to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference third team.
Freshman Raena Willett also had a great indoor campaign recording several top finishes including an eighth-place finish in the women's one-mile run with a time of 5:16.44 at the GMAC indoor championships.
