(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) - The Lake Erie women's soccer team fell to Ohio Valley 2-1 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action on Saturday. The Storm dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-3 in the conference, while the Fighting Scots improved to 2-0-1 and 2-0-1 in the same G-MAC.

Ohio Valley wasted little time getting on the board after the halftime break with a goal scored by Marianna Bayona assisted by Nataly Chauta in the 55th minute of the game. The Scots later made it 2-0 on an Oihane Abascal goal in the 74th minute.

Grace Cady put the Storm back within striking distance as she scored in the 86th minute thanks to an assist from Juliet Tyma. It was her first goal of the season, while Tyma's helper was her first of the year.

Unfortunately for the Storm, the momentum was too late as the Scots maintained the one-goal lead in the final four minutes. 

Ohio Valley outshot Lake Erie 16-4, while Sophomore Megan Biddle finished with four saves on six shots on goal. 

Lake Erie women's soccer will return to action on Thursday, March 25 in a road contest against Walsh.
