(Painesville, Ohio) – The Lake Erie indoor track and field team will return to action this weekend, February 5th and 6th at the Tiffin Dragon Invitational after competing at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational last weekend January 29th and 30th. Action at the Tiffin Dragon Invitational began Friday afternoon at the Heminger Center.
This is Lake Erie's fourth event this season, second at Tiffin University. In last weekend's competition at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational, several Storm athletes finished top five. Junior Dominic Jones dominated the field in the 60m hurdles taking first with his season-best of 8.46- just .02 off his personal best. Tareeq Welch took fourth in the men's 60m dash with a time of 7.34. Men's 4x400 meter relay placed second with a time of 3:28.04, and the women's 4x400 meter relay placed third with a time of 4:10.52.
The Storm has many atheletes competing this weekend who are all looking to put down good marks and seeding times.
