Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. - Jamil Wilson dropped 24 points as Kentucky Wesleyan topped the Lake Erie 86-72 Thursday night in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference men's basketball game.
Lake Erie (0-9, 0-9 G-MAC) and Kentucky Wesleyan (9-4,8-4 G-MAC) traded leads much of the first half in the game. The Panthers took held a 43-37 cushion into halftime. At the end of the first half, Kentucky Wesleyan outshot the Storm 51.6 percent to 45.5 percent.
Jacob Plantz led Lake Erie with 17 points, while Harrison Riggs scored 14. Kentucky Wesleyan closed out the game shooting 52.4 percent from three-point range which proved to be the answer to every Storm comeback.
Lake Erie continued to struggle to take care of the ball and committed 17 turnovers. The Storm finished the game shooting 43.8 percent from the field compared to the Panthers' 55.4 percent.
