Box Score (Findlay, Ohio) – The Lake Erie Storm volleyball struggles against the Oilers in a three-set loss. The Oilers defeated the Storm 13-25, 22-25, 30-32.
The Storm tried to battle back leading most of the third set but ultimately came up short.
Junior Kariema Rodriguez led the Storm with 11 kills and 10 digs on the night. Maria Blatnik added seven kills for the Storm as well. Dora Olah led the team in assists, recording 18 on the night as well as 10 digs and 3 service aces.
Defensively, Kaylee Hiser recorded nine digs for the Storm. Alexandra Matthews recorded 3 blocks throughout the night.
For the Oilers, freshman Hannah Warrington came up big with 11 kills and 6 digs. Madison Moore a senior for the Oilers also had a good night adding 10 kills as well as 4 digs.
Defensively for the Oilers, senior Olivia Morrison led the team recording a solid 18 digs.
With today's loss against Findlay, the Storm falls to 1-3 overall. The Oilers improve their season to 6-1.
