Box Score (Painesville, Ohio) – The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team fell to the Tiffin Dragons tonight in a 71-53 loss.
The Storm started off slow as the Dragons were up 14-2 seven minutes in. All nine points in the first quarter came from Sydney Wyngarden (4) and Kayla Clark (5). The first quarter ended with a score of 16-9.
The Storm lost the second quarter by only one point 13-12. Sydney Wyngarden added seven more with a three from Taylor Thomas and two added by Lauren Flannery.
Breanna Bauer came alive in the third quarter putting up seven points with eight rebounds. But the Dragons continued to fight taking the Storm 16-10 in the third.
Both teams brought all their momentum in the fourth quarter with a score of 26-22 in favor of the Dragons. Taylor Thomas hit two 3-pointers within the last two minutes of the game along with four more points from Wyngarden.
Wyngarden was the leading scorer for the Storm tonight as she ended with 17 points and four rebounds. Bauer and Thomas followed with nine each.

The Storm will be back in action this Saturday, December 11th as they travel to Ashland University to take on the Eagles. The Storm has three straight road matches before returning home Friday, December 31st.
