Storm Snap 4-Game Win Streak; Fall to Walsh 69-47

The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team fell to the Walsh Cavaliers, 69-47 on Dec. 2 in Painesville, Ohio. This loss snaps the Storm's 4-game win streak bringing their record on the year to 4-2.

The Storm played hard in the first half, minimizing any run Walsh would attempt to get on, taking a 32-28 deficit into the half.

The Storm shot effectively in the first, shooting 42.9% from the field, 30% from beyond the ark, and sinking all five free throws attempted. Despite having the lead, Walsh would only shoot 37.5% from the field, and 16.7% from beyond the ark. 

In the second half, Walsh would take control, outshooting the Storm 37-19 and completing a 69-47 victory. The Storm were not able to control the paint in the contest, being outrebounded 44-36 and giving up 34 points in the paint.

On the day, Leon Hughes would lead the Storm with 15 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Jackson Burdyshaw would add 10 points of his own in the loss.

Lake Erie will be back in action on Dec. 4 at 1:00 PM to continue conference play against Malone.
