Box Score The Lake Erie College Storm men's basketball team took down Edinboro University, 79-65 on Nov. 30 in Painesville, Ohio. This win gives the Storm their fourth consecutive win on the year improving their record to 4-1.
Lake Erie dominated the game in the first half, commanding a 25-point lead led by Jordan Burton who had 21 points in the half but would not score again the rest of the contest.
In the second half, Edinboro would come out fighting, managing to chip away at the lead but ultimately not being able to complete a comeback.
The key to victory for the Storm on the day was their 3-point shooting, knocking down 14-33 in the contest compared to Edinboro shooting 3-14. Both teams were pretty even on the defensive end of the ball with Lake Erie narrowly outrebounding the Fighting Scots just 43-42 while both teams would turn the ball over 12 times.
On the day Burton (21) would lead the Storm in scoring while Kevin Peterson (11) and Caleb Piks (10) would additionally score with double digits with Piks also adding 8 rebounds.
Lake Erie will be back in action on Dec. 2 at 5:30 PM to take on Walsh for their first conference matchup of the year.
