Box Score (Painesville, Ohio) – The Lake Erie volleyball team lost their match tonight against Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. The Storm battled hard, but the Cougars walked away with set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 18-25, and 25-23.
Overall, Lake Erie recorded 47 kills on 149 total attempts with only 20 errors, for a .181 hitting percentage. The Cougars recorded 41 kills on 127 attempts and 19 errors, for an error of .173 hitting percentage.
Kariema Rodriguez led the Storm offensive production with 12 kills. Jordan Taylor followed with 11, Dora Olah added 10, and Maria Blatnik added 9 of her own.
On the defensive side, Taylor Metzler recorded an impressive 18 digs, followed by Simone Schurr with 11 and Rodriguez with 10. Julianna Krebasch recorded two blocks along with Blatnik's three.
Schurr added 39 assists to her impressive freshman campaign which holds 632 assists total over the 25 games!
This was the last home game for the Storm this season, as they will be hitting the road for their final four games of the season.
