Box Score The Lake Erie College volleyball team drops two conference matchups over the weekend. The Storm first traveled to Hillsdale, Michigan to take on the Hillsdale Chargers before heading to Findlay for a match at Findlay University.
Friday
The Lake Erie College women's volleyball team lost their match this evening versus the Hillsdale Chargers. The Storm battled hard but came up short with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, and 25-11.
Kariema Rodriguez led the Storm with six kills in the match, with Maria Blatnik adding five kills of her own. As a whole, the Storm attempted 89 attacks with 23 kills recorded.
Dora Olah added seven digs followed by Taylor Metzler and Rodriguez with five each.
Junior Jordan Taylor stepped into the setter position for this match recording 20 of the 21 assists.
Saturday
The Lake Erie women's volleyball team lost their match versus the Findlay Oilers in three sets. Final scores for the sets were 25-17, 25-11, and 25-13.
Maria Blatnik led the Storm with eight kills, followed by Dora Olah and Kariema Rodriguez with six each.
Jordan Taylor was responsible for 20 of the 22 assists in the match for the Storm.
Brooklyn Broadway, Jordan Taylor and Dora Olah added five digs each.
Up Next
The Storm ended their season today with a loss to Findlay University taking their season record to 4-26 overall. Although this was not the season the Storm had in mind, all athletes plan to return for the 2022 season next fall.
