Box Score Lake Erie hosted Tiffin this weekend for their third straight home contest of the year. The Storm would fall to the Dragons 35-17 in a hard-fought game.
Tiffin would strike first on their first offensive drive of the game, giving them an early 7-0 lead but the Storm defense would hold for the remainder of the quarter allowing their own offense to tie the game in the second quarter when Gerald Gardner connected with Peyton Brown for a touchdown.
Lake Erie's defense would remain strong until a Tiffin touchdown with 0:31 seconds left in the second quarter would put the Dragons up 14-7, giving them a one-score lead going into the half.
Tiffin would cough up a fumble on the opening kickoff of the second half, giving the Storm great field position. A 22-yard field goal by Justin Smith would end the drive and close the gap to 14-10.
From there out, it was all Tiffin. The Dragons would score 21 points in the rest of the game with the only Storm score coming on a late touchdown reception at the end of the fourth quarter by Eric Daniels.
The Storm are back in action Oct. 16, at Hillsdale. Kickoff is at 1:00 PM.
