Women's Soccer Falls to Walsh

(North Canton, Ohio) – Lake Erie women's soccer team took on Walsh University on Saturday afternoon in North Canton, Ohio. The Storm gave a valiant effort in the road matchup against the Cavaliers but were unable to score as they were defeated by a final score of 1-0.

In the first half, both teams played cautiously to open the game, as each took some time to determine how the other was going to play on the day. The defense remained stout for the Storm until the 62nd minute, when Walsh was able to break free and score the solo goal of the game on the foot of Meghan Creech.

The Storm offense did everything they could to even the score but were unable to get one into the back of the net against the Walsh keeper.

Goalkeeper Megan Biddell recorded eight saves for Lake Erie in the loss.

This loss drops the Storm record to 2-5-2 overall, 1-3-2 in the GMAC.

The Lake Erie Storm is set to host the Cedarville Yellowjackets this Thursday, October 7th in another conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 1 PM.
