Box Score (Cedarville, Ohio) - The Cedarville Lady Jackets took command from the start against the Lake Erie women's basketball team as the Storm loss 59-112 in Cedarville. The Storm (0-9 G-MAC) remain winless as Cedarville improves to 12-1 overall and 11-1 in conference play.
Sophomore forward Abby Matalavage led all Storm players in scoring with 12 points off the bench. Guard Sydney Wyngarden continued her impressive sophomore campaign and joined Matalavage as the only other player in double figures after scoring 10 points.
Cedarville was aggressive throughout the game on both ends of the court scoring 28 points off of 20 Lake Erie turnovers.
The Storm struggled from the field shooting 34.5% and 3-18 from behind the arc. Shalaya Heath contributed seven points and six rebounds. Heath and Matalavage combined for 19 of 32 points bench points.
Lake Erie women's basketball team will remain on the road in their next contest on Thursday, Jan. 28 as they travel to Hillsdale for a 5:30 tip-off.
