Box Score (CEDARVILLE, Ohio) - Lake Erie (0-5 G-MAC) dropped its second road contest this season at Cedarville by the score of 55-70 in a Great Midwest competition Monday evening in the Callan Athletic Center. It is the second loss of the season in just as many days against the Yellow Jackets (5-2, 5-2 G-MAC).
Lake Erie struggled shooting as they made 33.3% from the field. Jeramie Burge continued his point production off the bench scoring 13 points matching his total in the first meeting against Cedarville in Painesville. Burge was perfect from the free-throw line making 5 of 5 attempts.
Harrison Riggs began to find his range late in the game as he made three consecutive three-pointers with 2:45 to play. Riggs led the team with 14 points, three assists, and two steals.
Branden Maughmer led all players with 26 points in 34 minutes. Cedarville as a team shot 48.1% and outrebounded the Storm 39-27.
The Storm will be on the road and will play on Thursday, Jan. 28 against Hillsdale. Tip-off with the Chargers is set for 7:30.
