(YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio)- The Lake Erie indoor track and field teams competed in the Youngstown Collegiate Invitational Friday, Jan. 15th.
Raena Willett established a new school record in the women's mile this afternoon with a time of 5:21.35 to finish fifth overall at the YSU Indoor Collegiate Invitational. Her time bettered the previous college record by Aneesa Volkman of 5:32.92 by almost 12-seconds.
The top finishers in the mile were, (1) McKenna Curtis-Collins, Malone, 4:52.61 (2) Alyssa Campbell, Point Park, 4:58.61 (3) Alexa Leppelmeir, Walsh, 5:06.14
Up Next: The men and women's track and field teams are scheduled to compete at the Revolution Classic hosted by Tiffin University on Saturday, January 23, 2021, with field events scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m., distance events scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m., and sprint events scheduled at 4 p.m.
