(MARIETTA, Ohio) - In its first event with a full team since returning, Lake Erie finished second in the Shriners Hospital for Children Intercollegiate after posting a team score of 623. Antonio Bodziony (Fr., Mentor, Ohio / Willoughby South) once again scored in the low 70s to lead the Storm and placed third on the individual leaderboard.
Bodziony started out the day on an impressive streak and stayed even through the front nine and the first couple holes on the back, but ran into some trouble down the stretch to finish four-over with a 74. With yesterday's score the freshman totaled 147, four strokes back of the leaders who both happened to be from Ohio Valley and playing on their home course.
One of those players was Kyler Dennis who was in the same group as Bodziony on Saturday. He was one stroke up on Bodziony entering the day and carded a 71 today. His teammate Agustin Aranki had the best round of anyone in the tournament today with a 67.
The Fighting Scots' duo helped the hosts total a 291 for Day 2 and a 596 for the weekend event. The Storm were three strokes back entering today, but scored 315 today to reach a two-day total of 623.
After Bodziony, Wyatt Chapman (Fr., Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) turned in the next best round with a 78 to equal his round yesterday. Jarrod Teeter (R-Fr., Johnstown, Ohio / Northridge) followed with an 80 to score 158 for the event. Jacob Fitzpatrick (Fr., Lorain, Ohio / Amherst Steele) scored an 83 to complete the team score for the second round and totaled 162 overall.
