Box Score (Columbus, Ohio) - The Lake Erie women's basketball offense was stifled by Ohio Dominican's defense on Thursday, as the squad was to held to 36-percent shooting from the field, as the Storm fell to the Panthers, 63-54, in Columbus, OH.
With the loss, the Green and White fall to 8-14 overall and 5-7 in the G-MAC, while Ohio Dominican improves to 13-10 overall and 8-5 in league play.
Going into the second quarter the Storm outscored the Panthers 15-9. The second quarter was one to forget as Lake Erie was only able to produce seven points. Through the rest of the way, Ohio Dominican capitalized, scoring 28 points in the paint and 17 points off turnovers.
Breanna Bauer led all scorers with 23 points and seven rebounds. Josie Chaddock finished with 17 points shooting 10-12 from the field. Sydney Wyngarden finished with nine points.
Ohio Dominican was led by Kennedy Schlabach and Angela Troyer, who scored 20 points apiece.
The Storm will continue their road schedule on Saturday, Feb. 8 as they face Tiffin.
