Storm Battle But Fall to Oilers

PAINESVILLE, Ohio

The Lake Erie College Storm women's basketball team battled this afternoon, coming back from a 16-point deficit in the third quarter but ultimately fell to the University of Findlay Oilers with a final score of 74-63,

With the loss, the Storm falls to 10-17 and 7-10 in the G-MAC while the Oilers improve to 15-11 and 11-5 in the conference. 

Leading the Storm in points this afternoon was Breanna Bauer with 14 points. Bauer's performance against Findlay marks her 20th game scoring double figures of her junior campaign. 

Sophomore Lainey Billing added 13 points off the bench, recording her sixth game scoring double-figures of the 2019-2020 season.

The Storm will finish the 2019-2020 regular season at home with a matchup against nationally-ranked Walsh University on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 3 p.m.

The game will serve as senior day, with a reception in the lobby following the game to celebrate seniors Josie Chaddock, Ashley West, and Breanna Bauer. There will be food and drinks.
