NASHVILLE, Tenn.

The Lake Erie College Storm women's basketball team fell to the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene this afternoon with a final score of 62-52.

With the loss, the Storm falls to 8-12 overall and 5-5 in the G-MAC. The Trojans improve to 7-12 overall and 4-6 in the G-MAC, increasing their win streak to four games.

Trevecca struck first, making good on a pair of free throws at the 9:30 mark in the first. Thirty seconds later, Ashley West tied with a layup, and that's the pattern the game followed, featuring seven ties and nine lead changes traded between both teams.

The largest lead of the night for the Storm came shortly before the teams went into the locker rooms at halftime. They held a five-point advantage with under two minutes left in the first half.

Storm junior Breanna Bauer led the team in scoring tonight, recording 12 points with seven rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.

Senior Josie Chaddock added 11 points, additionally recording five rebounds and two assists.

Freshman Lauren Flannery also scored double-figures, recording ten points of her own and adding three rebounds and two steals.

The Storm returns to Painesville for a Feb. 1 matchup against Kentucky Wesleyan College. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
