(Indianapolis, Ind.) - The Lake Erie indoor track and field teams had a strong showing this weekend at the Tom Hathaway Distance Classic. Several Storm members improved on their season times and many placed in the top ten in multiple events. 

Highlights

• Tareeq Welch for the second weekend in a row placed in the top three with a jump of 6.61m. Teammate Joneteris Johnson also had a strong showing with a jump of 6.32m. 

• Dominic Jones recorded a PR with a second-place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.46 just .05 seconds behind the first-place finisher. Men's 4x400m Relay team finished 2nd at 3:34:06.

• Imane Snyder had a third-place finish in the 60m and a fourth-place finish in the 200m. 

• Freshman Kendrick Scott threw for 14.16m in the shot put giving him a third-place finish.
