Oilers Hand Storm First Loss of the Season

(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) - The Lake Erie women's soccer team were handed their first loss of the season. The Storm were unable to record a goal in Friday's 3-0 loss against Findlay. The Storm are now 3-1-2 on the season and 0-1-1 in G-MAC play. 

The Oilers were able to get on the scoreboard first on a penalty kick from midfielder Sierra Peacock. Peacock led the Oilers in each offensive category with 2 goals, 1 assist, and 5 shots on goal. 

Findlay outshot the Storm 19-4 in the match and controlled possession much of the match. Megan Biddell was able to record 11 saves, with 8 of the 11 coming in the first half of play.

Next up Lake Erie will stay home this weekend for a matchup against the Tiffin Dragons on Sunday. Kick-off for the Storm will be at 3:30 p.m.
