(FINDLAY, Ohio) – It was a tough start to the weekend for Lake Erie as it fell to No. 23 Findlay 2-1 in G-MAC action at DeHaven Field Friday afternoon. The Storm (5-7-2, 2-6-1) gave up goals in each half as the Oilers (10-0-1, 8-0-1) remained unbeaten.

The game was scoreless for the first 20 minutes until Findlay's Paige Casto found the back of the net on an assist from Addie Graham in the 21st minute. Goalkeeper Megan Biddell (Fr., Mentor, Ohio) did well to keep the Storm in the game the rest of the first half as she made a pair of saves later in the half.

The Oilers kept the pressure on the Green and White in the second half and scored an insurance goal in the 59th minute. This time it came from the boot of Jayla Campbell.

Chances for the Storm were limited as they could only manage four shots with Peyton Frankovich (Sr., Dover, Ohio) the only one to get one on target until Juliet Tyma (Broadview Heights, Ohio/North Royalton) avoided the shutout on her goal with 77 seconds left. It was the sophomore's first goal of the season.

Lake Erie will head west once again on Sunday to take on Tiffin. Kickoff with the Dragons is set for noon.
