Football Falls on the Road

(CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky.) – Lake Erie was shut out in its final road game of the season by a count of 44-0 to Thomas More at BB&T Field on Saturday afternoon. The Storm dropped to 0-10 while the Saints improved to 7-2.

The Storm defense stood strong in the first quarter, but Thomas More exploded for three touchdowns in the second. The hosts added two more in the third before adding a field goal in the fourth.

Lake Erie was limited on offense with 143 yards while the high-powered Saints attack exploded for 480.

The Storm came up with seven tackles for a loss which netted 28 yards backwards for Thomas More. One of those came on a quarterback sack by Cory McPhearson who tied Kelvin Bazmore for team-high honors with eight tackles.

Lake Erie will wrap up the season next week with Ohio Dominican at home.
