PAINESVILLE, OH- The Lake Erie Storm Women's Basketball team kicked off their G-MAC conferece season with a 70-72 win tonight over Alderson Broaddus. The Storm bettered their overall season record to 3-2, while the Battlers dropped to 0-4.

Josie Chaddock had a big night for the Storm, as she recorded 20 points in 40 minutes. Additionally, Chaddock had 5 steals, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and was 10 for 12 from the Free Throw Line. 

Breanna Bauer added 18 points and recorded 9 rebounds, and Madison Mattimore came off the bench and recorded 10 points, while making 5 of 6 attempts at the Free Throw Line. 

As a team, the Storm shot 70.4% from the line, making 19 of 27 attempts, which is 5.8% higher than their cumulative free throw percentage so far this season.

Lake Erie returns to action at Osborne this Saturday for another conference matchup against Davis & Elkins College. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00pm.
