Box Score PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College women's soccer team fell to the Walsh University Cavaliers on Thursday (Sept. 28) afternoon at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium by a final score of 2-1.
Walsh opened the scoring with a goal in the 12th minute of the first half. Carley Kandel (Jeromesville, Ohio / Northwestern) tied the game in the 31st minute after she scored on a missed save by the Cavaliers' keeper. The teams were tied 1-1 at the half.
Walsh scored the game-winning goal in the 66th minute as the Cavaliers won the game 2-1.
Six different players each had a shot for the Storm.
Marissa Brannon (Concord, Ohio / Lake Catholic) made ten saves in the goal for Lake Erie.
The Storm will host Malone University on Saturday (Sept. 30) evening at 7:00 PM.
