MENTOR, Ohio – Lake Erie opened its season on Friday as the Storm fell, 9-0, to Michigan Tech.

The Huskies downed the Green & White in straight sets across the board. Luke Hobbs was LEC's top man in singles play; he won a pair of games from MTU's Pedro Rodriguez.

Anton Kyrycheck and Kyle O'Dell were Lake Erie's top doubles entry; they lost, 8-3.

The match was the beginning of three straight days of competition for the Storm, who will host Roberts Wesleyan (N.Y.) on Saturday and Lake Superior State (Mich.) on Sunday.
