URBANA, Ohio-- The Lake Erie College volleyball team was unable to come away with a victory in its first matches of 2013 season, falling to Bellarmine University, 3-0, and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) foe Saginaw Valley State University, 3-1, Friday (Sept. 13) at the Urbana University Invitational.

The Storm (0-2) dropped their first match of the season in straight sets to Great Lakes Valley Conference member Bellarmine University, 25-1-, 25-17, 25-21.

In the second match of the day, the Storm rallied to picked up a third-set win after falling behind 2-0 against Saginaw Valley State in a nonconference match, but it was not enough as the Cardinals held off a 15-2 LEC run in the fourth set for a 25-18 win and the 3-1 victory.

More information will be provided on the matches when it is available.
