Storm Men End Road Trip With 7-2 Loss at Findlay

FINDLAY, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College men's tennis team closed its weekend three-match road trip with a 7-2 loss at the University of Findlay Sunday (April 7) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.

Despite the loss, freshman Liam Goldberg (Melbourne, Australia/Haileybury College) picked up a straight sets victory at first singles, defeating Djordje Ljubinkovic 6-4, 6-1. However, that was Lake Erie (1-12, 0-7 GLIAC) only singles victory.

The Oilers (6-10, 3-6 GLIAC) won the remaining five singles contests to pick up their third straight victory.

The Storm got a thrilling 9-8 win at third doubles by the team of junior Kyle O'Dell (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) and sophomore Dimitrije Spasic (Nis, Serbia / Gimnazija Stevan Sremac/Coos Bay [Ore.]).

Lake Erie is on the road again Friday, April 12, at Wayne State University.
