Box Score

PAINESVILLE, Ohio—The Lake Erie College men's soccer team dropped a nonconference matchup Thursday evening (Oct. 25) to Seton Hill University, 2-0, at The Britt.

Seton Hill (4-12-2) struck first in the 32nd minute when Jake Dupilka headed in a cross from Dilveer Chagger from five-yards out off a free kick. Goalie Jordan Sodhi, aided by the Griffin defense, was able to keep the Storm (5-12-0, 4-8-0 GLIAC) off the board in the first half.

The two teams evenly battled throughout most of the second half, but the Grffins were once again able to find the back of the net on a cross in the 78th minute, this time off the foot of Trevor Martz, delivered by Matt Luchetti, to seal the victory 2-0.

Sodhi collected two saves in the shutout.

Sam Etherton (Alliance, Ohio, Alliance) collected two saves, and Anthony Novak (Toronto, Ont./St. Mary Catholic) led the Storm with four shots. The Storm were held back by 21 fouls.

The Storm return to The Britt on Sunday (Oct. 28) to wrap-up its 2012 season against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for Malone University (6-4-1, 6-6-1 GLIAC) on Senior Day at 3 pm.
