Box Score PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Sophomore Megan Baldacci (Cavecreek, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) made 13 saves but Lake Erie College (1-15-1, 0-13 GLIAC) still fell at the University of Findlay (7-8-1, 6-6-1 GLIAC), 2-0.
It was the fifth time this season Baldacci reached the double-digit save mark. The 13 saves were her second highest total of the year.
In the 15th minute, the Oilers got on the board when Emily Beddoes sent a cross in to Caitlyn Theaker who scored from five yards out. The score remained 1-0 at halftime as none of Lake Erie's three shots were successful.
In the second half, Findlay scored a key insurance goal at 49:19, with Sarah Silone corralling a loose ball in the box and booting it into the net. With the Oilers packing in the defense the Storm was unable to get off a shot attempt in the final 45 minutes while attempting to comeback.
Lake Erie closes out its season Sunday at Tiffin University with the match slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
