Streaking Panthers Too Much For Storm

Box Score

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Lake Erie College (1-14-1, 0-12 GLIAC) ran into Ohio Dominican University (8-6-2, 6-4-2) at the wrong time as the Panthers picked up their sixth straight victory, 5-0, in Columbus, Ohio.

The Storm trailed just 1-0 at halftime but 24 total shots by the Panthers, 14 of which were put on goal, buried the Green and White.

In goal for Lake Erie, sophomore Megan Baldacci (Cavecreek, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) made nine saves.

Ohio Dominican's Kirsten Hoy scored just 3:11 into the match after collecting a loose ball.  However, the Storm defense tightened and trailed just 1-0 at half.

Things stayed that way until the 54th minute as a pair of goals less than two minutes apart put the mach away.  ODU added further insurance goals in the 69th and 86th minutes.

The Storm has two matches left on their season, with a road weekend at Findlay and Tiffin next weekend.
